Soo/WC/DSSA 50 ton Ore Car Resin Kit 5-pack

American Car & Foundry and Haskell & Barker built over 1500 of these distinctive slanted 50 ton ore cars for the Soo Line and Wisconsin Central between 1913 and 1920.  The DSS&A also used the same design.

Soo Line cars: 80500 – 81599

After the Soo’s ore business dried up, some were placed in sand service and lasted into the 1970s.  The majority of cars rode on 5’ T-section Bettendorf trucks which are not available in HO commercially.  3D printed trucks, without wheels, are included in the kit.  The DSS&A cars rode on 5’ arch bar trucks, available from Tahoe Model Works.  Wheels and couplers not included.
