Whether plastic or brass, EHS can paint your model true to the prototype or for your own railroad. We can color match an existing model or apply the color scheme of your choice, even pink if you so desire! Kitbashing Services
EHS kitbashing services offer you the opportunity to have a very specific model of a prototype that, due to its uniqueness is not available commercially. This may be a locomotive, rolling stock or structure. Services include everything from developing a concept to a fully completed model ready to roll or install on your layout. We’re happy to discuss the possibilities with you, and we’ll develop a fair price schedule that reflects your goals and our investment of time and materials.
Decoder Installation Service
EHS has been a pioneer in the conversion upgrading of model equipment and accessories to DCC operation. We can help you with the decision making process for determining if some of your older equipment is worth the investment, as well as install upgrades to existing items such as sound, additional lighting or LED conversion, and enhanced decoder operations.
Locomotive Repair
One of our specialties, EHS has unique in-house capabilities for repairing locomotives. This can range from soldering broken brass, re-motoring older brass or plastic models, to drive train repair and complete re-gearing of locomotives.
Custom Paint / Weathering
Whether its a locomotive, custom train car, or structure, our talented paint team can bring your vision to life, or return a piece that has seen better days, to its original glory!
An offshoot of our Custom Painting services, EHS offers unique weathering solutions from light to heavy applications, or prototype specific weathering. We use many different techniques to provide eye catching results.
Track Planning
EHS offers computer assisted layout design to give you the assurance of having your railroad end up the way you envision it. We can offer you suggestions, or take your ideas to a final design that you will enjoy operating.
Structure Building
EHS offers structure building whether it is wood or styrene in either kit or scratch built. Just like locomotives and rolling stock, structures can be kitbashed as well. Included are options for finishing, painting, weathering or modifications specific to your use.
Layout Construction
We fabricate your bench-work using cabinet grade plywood to provide years of trouble free operation, lay the roadbed and track for derailment-free operation and can wire your layout for simple operation or more complex options like block detection, stationary decoder use, or signaling. EHS has over 20 years of experience working with Digital Command Control (DCC). We use only the best, currently available equipment to ensure years of smooth operation, making for your model railroading an extraordinary adventure.
