These tie plates are modeled after Union Pacific double-shoulder designs for 133-pound rail. Each plate features 8 holes, consistent with those used for heavy-duty and welded rail applications.

Tie plates are a common sight along the right-of-way and will add an extra level of realism to your model railroad. They can be stacked or scattered in maintenance areas, used in scrap loads, placed in flatcar or gondola loads, or added to detail scenes like scrap piles.

These detail parts are scale-size replicas, identical to the tie plates included in our Roadmaster Series of Track—minus the simulated spike heads. They even include realistic cutouts where the rail would seat.
